Wit is defined as a form of intelligent humor of course, however, the WIT I'm referring to is not that simple. It's an acronym that our partner Microsoft uses alongside many other other organizations and partners throughout the industry. This blog is all about how these "WIT" people have enabled RyanTech.
Our intention as we continue to grow our cloud practice is to really focus on the Women in Technology that have enabled us to have the success we enjoy. Another example of great women in our infrastructure is Nicole at Synnex. She is for sure the reason we have been so successful in the CSP program at Microsoft. We're growing every month and Nicole has been instrumental not only in our smooth growth but also in identifying solutions that Synnex provides their clients which might work for us. Her colleague Lauren is also a key Woman in Technology that is helping us to really hit it out of the park!.
Within Microsoft we've had the pleasure of working with Kati Quigley and Lisa Harper in many ways as well as Gavriela, Cindy Bates and Jenni Flinders, a former Microsoft Executive who's now an Entrepreneur!
At RyanTech, we've seen the value of working with these amazing Women in Technology in our own organization and in the organizations that support our efforts and our mission. We're truly a better tech company and serve our clients better because of these amazing Women.
In closing, it's time to start thinking about how much better YOUR organization can be by embracing these incredibly valuable assets called Women in Technology.

WOMEN IN TECHNOLOGY
At RyanTech we've worked very hard to create an image of credibility, investment and second to none support for our customers. Over the years we've invested time in organizations such as EO ( The Entrepreneur's Organization ), IAMCP ( The International Association of Microsoft Channel Partners ) as well as the MCC ( Microsoft Community Connections ) and participated in the Partner Engagement Board for Microsoft's Worldwide Partner Conference. All of these engagements have brought value to Me as the CEO and the company as a whole however what's most important about these engagements is that it's taught me to hire the right talent and embrace the gift that is Women In Technology.
To start the story we created a new brand at RyanTech in 2013 and aptly named the brand RyanTech Cloud Services. We have been in business since 1998 as a software and web development company so moving to the Cloud completely was the right evolution for us and our client base. At the time, we hadn't experienced much in the way of "Customer Service" nor "Sales" because we are well-known in the industries we serve through the use of word-of-mouth references and we keep quite busy with work. So, as a techie by trade I had to either go back to school and find a way to build out the new business model or put the trust in people that were available to me to bridge that gap, per se.
I remember the summer of 2013 quite well because I enjoyed a lifestyle that afforded me the ability to be in the outdoors of Utah quite often. In doing so I became close friends with my neighbor Carol. Her two boys were very young and full of energy and my kids were just starting and just finishing college. The many interactions Carol and I had in the neighborhood brought us very close. She shared her desire to go back to work since her youngest was about to start school and she didn't want to "sit around the house" and I shared my "gap" of now knowing how to handle some of the needs the company had with customer service, sales and a new image. Together we formulated a plan while watching her boys jump their bikes in the street of our community. Neither of us realized it then but we were already working together on the success of RyanTech's vision.
Carol joined RyanTech in July, 2013 and changed the look, feel and success of our company and was the pioneer of our next few success stories. Carol started out as a support technician and has been promoted multiple times to her current position as Executive Director. It was through the creative approach of Friday lunches, after hours get togethers, Team Yoga, involvement in charity golf tournaments and a general good feeling to come to work that changed the feel at RyanTech. We weren't just a bunch of ski bums that knew technology, we had a reason to visit with each other and a person who focused on everyone.
Since then we have hired more Women than Men. Our books are handled by Chasie who is an industry veteran of over 19 years experience and does an amazing job of managing the intricate details of our Cloud Solutions Practice. Cassidy was hired away from the Microsoft Store last year and is in charge of the initial communications with our clients once our sales super-rocket Katie closes a deal. As you can see by way of these simple mentions the sales, implementation and after-care is all handled by our fabulous Women In Technology.
